Ten key points for operating metal shredders

When working, you need to keep in mind and follow the precautions for operating metal shredders to ensure safe production. The following ten items must be followed for your reference:

1. The metal shredder should be fixed on a cement foundation for fixed operation. If the work location is changed frequently, the metal shredder and the motor should be installed on a base made of angle iron. If the crusher is powered by a diesel engine, the power of the two should be matched, that is, the diesel engine power is slightly greater than the crusher power, and the pulley grooves of the two should be consistent. The outer end faces of the pulleys should be on the same plane.

2. Before starting the machine, you must check whether the connecting bolts of each part of the metal shredder unit are tightened, whether the tightness of the transmission belt is appropriate, and whether the power cord is in good condition. Whether the motor shaft is parallel.

3. Check whether the hammer head is in good condition, whether the aperture of the screen is appropriate, and whether there is any damage. Drag the belt by hand to check whether the main shaft rotates flexibly, and whether there is any jamming, collision or friction.

4. After starting up, let the equipment idle for 2-3 minutes to check whether the rotor is turning correctly and whether the sound is normal. It can only work after it rotates smoothly at the rated speed.

5. Pay attention to the operation of the crusher at any time during work, feed evenly to prevent blocking the feed port, and do not overload for a long time. If vibration, noise, high temperature of bearings and body, outward spraying, etc. are found, the machine should be stopped and checked immediately, and work can be continued after troubleshooting.

6. When the machine is running, the operator shall not leave the unit, nor shall the machine be disassembled during operation to observe the working conditions in the crushing chamber, and maintenance tools shall not be placed on the machine.

7. The operator shall not wear gloves. When blockage occurs, it is strictly forbidden to put hands into the filler. When feeding, the crusher should be stood on the side to prevent rebound debris from injuring the face.

8. Do not stop the machine immediately after work, and it should be idle for 2-3 minutes to allow all the materials in the machine to be discharged. Cleaning and maintenance work should be carried out after stopping.

9. The hammer head of the crusher is the main vulnerable part. After wear, whether the edges are replaced in the same direction or in the opposite direction, the whole set of hammer heads must be replaced at the same time. When replacing a new hammer head, the whole set of hammer heads must be replaced at the same time, and they cannot be replaced individually. The screen is also a vulnerable part. If part of the screen is damaged, it can be riveted. If it is seriously damaged, a new screen needs to be replaced.

10. After the crusher works for 300 hours, the bearings must be cleaned and the engine oil must be replaced. When the machine is shut down for a long time, the belt should be removed.
